ESCULPIR O AÇO COLLECTION

The exhibition ‘Esculpir o Aço’ (Sculpting Steel), on display in Marinha Grande, is part of the Visitable Collection of the Future Museum of the Mould Industry and was created by the Marinha Grande City Council in partnership with CEFAMOL - National Association for the Mould Industry.

Organised chronologically using information panels, audiovisual media and historical artefacts, the exhibition provides an engaging portrayal of the evolution of the mould industry in Portugal — from the first moulds for glass and plastic to current technology — highlighting the heritage and collective memory of this sector, which is of enormous importance to the economic and industrial development of the region.
